Making scary noises for too long. Good cleaning and drivetrain reassembly saves the day.

Had the machine for 7 years and mostly out of warranty. Folks scared of service calls cost. They talked about shopping a replacement for 2 days while I insists "no way, it's only 7yo, repair it"

@lostpig well 7 year old wash machine has a lot of story to told, it doesn't surprise me that it was starting to make noises

@Renar It's alright, I got a new one.

Well it acted up again. After having a repair guy looked at it ($85 wasted?) he wanted to replace the controller for $600+! :eek: 1/2

I took out the controller and what do I find? a blown cap! Changed it and 3 others out of total 5 for $6ish and I think I saved the washer for real plus $600. #ohhohoho 2/2
